SAVANNAH, Ga., Dec. 16, 2010 - Director Mark Ezra Stokes of JamesWorks Entertainment has won a prestigious Award of Merit from The Indie Fest. The award was given for Land of Higher Peace, a short documentary which looks at the daily challenges Ethiopians face through the eyes of a group of well-meaning Americans in the small northern town of Gondar. The film observes the concurrent pain and beauty of Ethiopia through the unique perspectives of each member, revealing the impact our lives can have on a global scale.

The Indie Fest recognizes film professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and whose who produce standout entertainment or contribute to profound social change.
