The Car Wash to screen at Rome International Film Festival

STATESBORO, Ga., Aug. 30, 2010 - JamesWorks Entertainment's The Car Wash, a new short film from award-winning documentary filmmaker James Kicklighter, starring Edith Ivey (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), will screen at the 2010 Rome International Film Festival in Rome, Georgia.

MovieMaker Magazine has hailed RIFF to be "one of the outstanding film festivals in the southeast" and "one of twenty [in the country] worth the submission fee." In addition, the film has been honored by the Georgia Film and Television Commission as one of seven Georgia produced films screening at the festival.

"After winning the Audience Choice Award in Seattle, I'm thrilled to screen the film in our own state," said The Car Wash director James Kicklighter. "As always, we're excited to share the performances of Edith Ivey, John C. Arnold, Kelley Callaway, and Greg Purcell with their huge audience."

The screening will take place on Saturday, September 11th, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. in Heritage Hall, kicking off the short film block. Actress Edith Ivey, director James Kicklighter, and producer Mark Ezra Stokes will be in attendance.

About The Car Wash

An elderly woman (Edith Ivey, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) visits the local Car Wash and Lube to connect with the world closing in around her. The Car Wash stars Edith Ivey, John C. Arnold, Kelley Callaway, and Greg Purcell.
