The Car Wash wins Best Drama at MIFF

SAVANNAH, Ga., Nov. 15, 2010 - JamesWorks Entertainment's The Car Wash, a short film from award-winning documentary filmmaker James Kicklighter, starring Edith Ivey (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), won the Best Drama Jury Award at the 2010 Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival in Melbourne, Florida.
The two-day festival featured movies from as far away as Ireland and Iran.
"It is a great honor to win this award, especially as we beat out several feature films," said The Car Wash director James Kicklighter. "It is a truly humbling experience to win alongside filmmakers from across the country and around the world."
About The Car Wash
An elderly woman (Edith Ivey, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) visits the local Car Wash and Lube to connect with the world closing in around her. The Car Wash stars Edith Ivey, John C. Arnold, Kelley Callaway, and Greg Purcell.
